Hi John, Nicolas, list
Thanks for your answers. I apologise for asking a 'fuzzy' question,
however at this stage in this project I only have 'fuzzy' requirements
:) But your answers confirm for me what I thought:
- It's certainly possible to achieve this type of customisation.
- The documentation for such things is usually provided informally
through the source code, and, if the module provider is feeling
energetic, under src/site.
Would it be fair to say that the documentation/wiki on the magnolia site
is in a state of flux due to the current versioning mix, between 2.1 and
3.0?. I've noticed some broken links and out of date information in
various places, especially wrt modules. Would it help for me to email
them to someone as I find them?
Thanks again. I'm really impressed by Magnolia. I'm in the process of
evaluating its use for a few commercial projects and its been by far the
most 'logical', pain free cms i've seen so far.
Cheers
Rupert

Hi List
I didn't see any reply to this - no one has any idea? If not, is there
some more substantial documentation about the type of thing that can be
achieved with modules?
Modules themselves are documentation (the source) and have
documentation (usually under src/site).
The first aspect 'modules are documentation' is important as your task
is a development task.

As Nicolas already told you, yes it's possible.

Then stick around in the community, explore the software, ask precise
questions (avoid fuzzy questions), think about contributing to the
community (replying to further newbie question is a good start).
