Hi James,

I have been trying out magnolia 3.0x for a couple months now and immediately
changed to MySql database from the default only due to the fact that i
wanted to run Magnolia in a clustered environment which up until now i have
been unable to do (i believe 3.1 will cover this).

The issue with the broken pipe is quite common and i did experience this but
it seems to be fixed by using the DataSourcePersistenceManager. I think its
imperative you use it if using MySql

I went through the instructions on the wiki and they seem to be pretty
thorough. Just follow them with all corrections and you won't go wrong. I
know its not ideal, but it works.
