I went through the instructions on the wiki and they seem to be pretty
thorough. Just follow them with all corrections and you won't go wrong. I
know its not ideal, but it works.

I'm pretty sure I followed them perfectly, but I am getting these errors:

ERROR info.magnolia.jackrabbit.ProviderImpl ProviderImpl.java(init: 176) 28.06.2007 18:31:15 Unable to initialize repository: Cannot instantiate persistence manager com.iorgagroup.jackrabbit.core.state.db.DataSourcePersistenceManager: Name jdbc is not bound in this Context javax.jcr.RepositoryException: Cannot instantiate persistence manager com.iorgagroup.jackrabbit.core.state.db.DataSourcePersistenceManager: Name jdbc is not bound in this Context: Name jdbc is not bound in this Context
...

I noticed the same errors on this thread:

http://www.nabble.com/Problem-using--DataSource-persistence-manager- tf3220347.html#a8963512

So I tried many of the things there and nothing seems to fix it off the bat. Any ideas? Or shall I just start over.

One thing though, I'm using mysql root user and no password (network is disabled). Maybe I need to put in a password?

I'm pretty much using the default magnolia 3.0.2 and tomcat from the Magnolia SF site. I've only modified it so that magnoliaPublic is ROOT and setup virtual hosts (which worked before I made the mysql changes).
