this looks very nice! Now, the only thing I can think of further is to be able to specify a scheme for lding icons for a node. E.g. a propertyName.png somewhere, or an id.png etc etc.
This seems cool and quite easy to implement, using the property name as icon file name. I can simply add a preference setting for the location of the icons and a small class that provides them to the label writing part.
That could be related to either a MetaModel if present, the Qi4j domain model if used, or simply configurable, much like you label mechanism.
I'd need an example of how the MetaModel/Qi4j stuff would look like in practice. Is there any existing example that could be extended with "hooks" for icons?
I'll start out with the simple take on this, and then we'll see ... What about licensing -- can I use Share-Alike-licensed icons like http://tango.freedesktop.org/Tango_Desktop_Project in an example provided in the Neoclipse source tree?
