Armand,

I did a test install and found the following errors:

[admin@www Midgard1.4-1]$ rpm -i --test midgard-1.4-1.i386.rpm
error: failed dependencies:
        expat >= 1.95.1 is needed by midgard-1.4-1
        apache = 1.3.12 is needed by midgard-1.4-1
        MySQL >= 3.23.20 is needed by midgard-1.4-1
        MySQL-shared >= 3.23.20 is needed by midgard-1.4-1
        glib >= 1.2.6 is needed by midgard-1.4-1
        libexpat.so.0 is needed by midgard-1.4-1

Then I tried a test with no dependencies and received the following:

[admin@www Midgard1.4-1]$ rpm -i --test --nodeps midgard-1.4-1.i386.rpm
file /usr/lib/apache/libphp3.so from install of midgard-1.4-1 conflicts with
file from package php-3.0.16-2C2

The following files are the ones I do have: glib-1.2.1-2, MySQL-3.22.32,
apache-1.3.6-C11. It looks like I will need expat and libexpat.so.0.

My question at this time is if the older versions of the listed files that I
have are compatible, or do I need to upgrade them? I hope this is not the
case because I fear having to upgrade apache due to the custom setup of the
RaQ3. This may prevent me from going any further with the installation.

If I need to modify the rpm to suit my RaQ3, how hard would it be to modify
the rpm script? Is this something a non-techie can handle? Maybe I should
just do the install from src's. The thing is that keeping track of stuff
using rpm's is easier and cleaner...
