Armand,

This is great! I will try this before going the src route. Are there any
other incompatibilities other than the ap_base64decode call that I should
edit before rebuilding the packages?

There are two rpms that I deal with, right? That is midgard-1.4-1.src.rpm
and midgard-data-1.4-1.src.rpm.
