Think I should have run ./mkall first and then ./buildconf then ./configure. This is 
what I'm getting from running $ ./mkall
/home/midgard
......
mgd_oop.h:25: midgard/tablenames.h: No such file or directory
make[1]: *** [article.slo] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/include/php/ext'
make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1
