The tarballs at snaps.maidgard.org are like ordinary releases. No problemo.
However, if you want to pull things from cvs, here's how:
(just copy/paste each line that starts with an #)
#cvs -d :pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/usr/local/cvs login
Output: CVS password: <HIT ENTER> (empty password)
#cvs -d :pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/usr/local/cvs co
midgard/bootstrap \ midgard/makedist midgard/lib midgard/mod midgard/php4
Note newline (\) caracter above. Paste both lines in one.
Wait.
# cd midgard
#./makedist
You'll be asked what version this is, say 1.4.1-cvs or something.
When the script is done, you'll have some nice tarballs ready to install ;)
To update:
cvs -z3 get midgard/bootstrap midgard/makedist midgard/lib midgard/mod
midgard/php4
