I have C-Experience, but Midgard is fairly big so I'm rather cautionous
with changes where I'm not sure what's going on yet.

The question, I think, is, where we need this character support. If the
MidgardParser directive works (maybe we should change the options to
on/off or so for better readability), we should stick to it. I have not
much experience in this whole Character Encoding thing, so I won't be
of much help to you. :-(
