I tried. It did not work because rpm was unable to find a misterious 
"libmysqlclient" library that IMHO should have been installed already on my 
machine as a part of the MySQL package (I have both the MySQL server and 
client installed and working, of course).

I tried to compile Midgard from sources on my Mandrake and it did not work, 
even after having supplied "make" with the right paths and the required 
libraries (Frankly, I was very little surprised by this failure given the 
many subtles differences between Fedora and Mandrake).

I will try to compile Midgard on Fedora Core 2 the next week. Midgard is known 
to compile on Fedora so I'm confident in success.
