I know it's strange but I'm almost sure it was libmysqlclient.so.6 (yes: an ending "6"!). Frankly, I neither can understand what is going on my machine nor explain it to you... :-( > In case of libmysqlclient.so.12 this must the Midgard version you have > tried to install was built against the MySQL 4.0.x branch instead of > the 3.23.58 version which is common on most distributions these days. Well, I have MySQL 4.X on my machines and I think that all the currently available sources and binaries of Midgard are built againt MySQL 4.X (on Fedora Core 2 and Debian Sarge MySQL 4.X is the standard install, I think). > Feel free to request more help, if needed I might even offer some time > for an SSH session if this would help to get you a working Midgard > installation. > > Daniel S. Reichenbach Many thanks for you kind help. Before abusing of your kindness, let me try to install Midgard from source on my brand new Fedora Core 2. I did not try this yet and I'm confident it should work. ----------------------------------------- Alessandro Bottoni --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
