well, this is really strange, because it must be something older than
MySQL 3.23 and I do not know any current distribution that still uses
older MySQL versions ... perhaps you can check this again, when you
try the next time.

Yes, my RPMs for RHEL are built against 4.x, too. So we all use it :-)

It should, but please use Midgard 1.6.2, it has some fixes for PHP
and should build smarter.
