Hi again,

I tried. It did not work because rpm was unable to find a misterious
"libmysqlclient" library that IMHO should have been installed
already on my machine as a part of the MySQL package (I have both
the MySQL server and client installed and working, of course).
May I ask which libmysqlclient.so.X file it was asking for? Do you
remember if it was libmysqlclient.so.10 or libmysqlclient.so.12?

In case of libmysqlclient.so.12 this must the Midgard version you have
tried to install was built against the MySQL 4.0.x branch instead of
the 3.23.58 version which is common on most distributions these days.

Feel free to request more help, if needed I might even offer some time
for an SSH session if this would help to get you a working Midgard
installation.
