I should add, it therefore would be possible to run Struts 2, Shale,
and JSF in the same application.  :)

Off topic, but AFAIK, Shale doesn't depend on any specific JSF
implementation.  It's goal is to "fill in the gaps" in the JSF
spec/framework for the user.
