Thanks for your mail. I feel that a common developer will not be very interested to use CVS to get a software. Many developers use non-CVS versioning system. So a direct download link would be useful. When we moved it to incubator, we did not think about it. So I could not add anything in the doc. After one and half years it became an issue.
So first of all we need to have a link like "Latest Code/Binaries". It is not necessary that it is a beta version or release candidate version. Secondly, it is not very clear whose responsibility is what? What I mean is if somebody changes the doc, who will generate the HTML for the site. Or after the voting, who will create a new CVS account. Currently, we don't have any mailing list. So I receive all mails at my personal email account. And most of the mails are about download links. Here we cannot blame the senders. We just don't know where to send mails. I also like to know the software release criteria. When we can say that it is ready to release? According to CVS, last I have committed about two months ago. Even if there are many things to do, I did not check-in any files because I am really fed-up. Lastly, I think "incubator" is fine. I need your help desperately.
