Secondly, it is not very clear whose responsibility is
what? What I mean is if somebody changes the doc, who
will generate the HTML for the site. Or after the
voting, who will create a new CVS account.
Essentially, it is the responsibility of everyone. Whoever
does the work. Hopefully things will be as automated as
possible so you can focus on the fun stuff.
Currently, we don't have any mailing list. So I
receive all mails at my personal email account. And
most of the mails are about download links. Here we
cannot blame the senders. We just don't know where to
send mails.
Until an incubator project requests its own mailing list,
they are supposed to use the incubator-general list or
something like that. That is essentially what Paul Hammant
does with the AltRMI project. In fact, I sent an email to
him to see what input I can get. Essentially, I want to
know how to help you, and I am not certain how things work
in the incubator.
I also like to know the software release criteria.
When we can say that it is ready to release?
That is up to the development team. Keep in mind that a
release is different from "exit criteria" from the incubator.
The chief exit criteria for the incubator is a healthy
development community.
According to CVS, last I have committed about two
months ago. Even if there are many things to do, I did
not check-in any files because I am really fed-up.
I'm sorry to hear this. Please, for any issues like this
(help in getting projects spun off from the Avalon home
succeeding) send your requests to the Avalon PMC list directly.
It will give your problems priority.
Lastly, I think "incubator" is fine. I need your help
desperately.
Ok. We will lend whatever help we can--including finding out
if there are missing pieces of the puzzle that we need to
fill in for you.
