Cause I want to use JingDAO with Merlin and don't want to get into pico container details at this point.
you don't need to. Just think of PicoContainer as a sort of glorified hashmap that does similar things in JingDAO as a ServiceManager does in an avalon container. There's very little details about pico container worth knowing if you're just using it.
