Okay, I might be interested in contributing, but can you tell me the status of this project vis-a-vis Linux x86-64 platform. Will I be able to use it? I ask because I cannot at the moment access my MySQL databases from OOo, because MySQL is 64-bit and OOo only 32-bit. I assume that my JRE is also 64-bit, so will the interface work? Also, I have home-grown Qt applications which I have converted to 64-bit. Would these be able to access HSQL databases? (Guess that's more a question for some other list, but if anyone knows the answer...).
