AFAIK, 32 bit processes are in general not able to use 64 bit libraries,
so my understanding is that unless you have a 32 bit JRE, your OOo
cannot use Java :(

Not the ones stored in OOo documents, since other applications cannot
know how to look into those files. There is a (manual) way to extract
the HSQL database from the OOo document, then you can use it in other
applications as well, but not simultaneously.
