Hello Ashish, > 1) i connected to one oracle database through open > office's database module and created say, > myoracledb.odb > . Now i created one query which showed result to me > in grid(spreadsheet like)like view. But "obviously" it > does not allow me to manipulate it etc.
There's a variety of possible reasons why data updates/insertions might not work. See at least [1] for details. > Actually, i > want to export/save-as this output of the query to the > actual spreadsheet format of openoffice etc. So that > i can do further manipulations. Is it possible? click into the upper-left corner of the table, so that the whole table is marked. Choose "Copy" from the context menu (Edit|Copy from the main menu does not work, this is a know bug), go to an arbitrary Calc document, and Edit|Paste the data. Or simply drag'n'drop the whole table into a Calc document. > 2) i want to save the oracle'users password into the > openoffice document itself, is it possible? No, sorry.
