Hi Valden,

thanks for your interest in OpenOffice.org, in particular in
OpenOffice.org Base.

1. In database for a formatted field under the number category, include
the option for hexadecimal, octal, and binary numbers--not just decimal
numbers.

The formatting options are the same across all OOo applications, so this
cannot easily be done for Base only. I am currently not aware of any
plans to extend the number formatting capabilities the way you propose,
but this doesn't mean anything :)

2. In database form wizards, allow us to choose some predefined skins
for the look-and-feel of the buttons instead of the generic square
buttons. Maybe use some of the bullets out of the OOo gallery?

What do you mean with "generic square buttons"? The usual command buttons?

Perhaps this is a good message to ask this question on then.

What is the best way for someone to have some input to the future direction of the product. I know one can enter RFEs
via the issue traker. But this tends to be much to granular with the limitation of one issue per entry. I am thinking more of
a discussion about an overall approach. Using just this type of tool I am afraid will too easily allow one to miss the forsest
for the trees.

My first impression is that this list would be the proper venue. There are plenty of folks over at the Forum site that discussing
wish lists for version 3.0, but I have no idea if any (or perhaps should say how much) of that actually makes to those that can
make decisions.

Any thoughts?
