That is unfortunately the same way it is playing out in the English
based OOoForum - they like it - but they are having a hard time
starting to use it and are looking for examples and more
documentation. On the up side there is now a good, small but strong,
group of what I call "responders" active on the Base board there and
one in particular is jumping right in with helping people get started.

The not so good side is that there is a vocal group of individuals
that just don't like Base at all - mostly these folks have a bad taste
in their mouths from the initial releases of the module ( you can't
lose peoples data, is all I'll say on that ) and don't really want to
give it another chance - and given an opportunity they like to jump in
and warn people not to use it - a couple of bugs that the SRB released
with is ( date fields not formatting properly for instance ) leading
some of them to once again pronounce the package sub standard and not
acceptable for use.
