Hello Regina,
I agree with Tim. "NorthWind" is an excellent example. It is well
documented, demonstrating some very simple stuff together with (slighly)
advanced concepts. And most important: It is a complete example of what
a database can do for you.

Yes, I would spend many hours translating a database like "NorthWind" to
German. But I believe that such a thing requires massive scripting in
the forms. Massive scripting would prove that current Base is near
unusable. "NorthWind", as I know it from Access'97, has very few macros,
some lines of VBA code and a menu-item "Design Tips", which opens a help
file.
Yes, I'm disappointed. No, I don't use Base for anything serious except
bug reports and one single dBase file, which I use to edit in the
datasource window.
