Yes, I would spend many hours translating a database like "NorthWind" to German. But I believe that such a thing requires massive scripting in the forms. Massive scripting would prove that current Base is near unusable. "NorthWind", as I know it from Access'97, has very few macros, some lines of VBA code and a menu-item "Design Tips", which opens a help file. Yes, I'm disappointed. No, I don't use Base for anything serious except bug reports and one single dBase file, which I use to edit in the datasource window.
If massive scripting is needed it can NOT be a reason NOT to put that in the sample database.
Instead it MUST be in there. How else would someone manage to build a decent database in Base?
At the same time, it would demonstrate clearly the weaker points in Base and help to get these fixed in next versions.
