Darren, it sounds like you actually used the report wizard and not the report builder, since there is no 'default layout' in the report builder.

Ariel, I followed the link to the mailing list entry and if my very weak Spanish isn't failing me to badly I believe the original poster refers to a blog's tutorial as the reference for his actions. ( It's easy to pick out hyper links in any language ) That bog entry, by Solveig Haugland, and the attached pdf file also shows the use of the wizard and not the SRB.

So it may be a case, at least from the reporting tool stand point, of mixing apples and oranges.

None the less Darren's email does go to the heart of the matter regarding the difference in data storage engines used.
