This field originates from the time when OpenOffice.org was a browser
... There's in fact no real use for this control in database documents,
as it is not data-aware. Of course you could add some macro magic to it,
which evaluates the user-entered path and does <whatever> with it. Even
then, however, the control lacks desirable features such as specifying
the list of extensions which it should browse for, auto-completion, and
the like.
