I am investigating the consequences of Base removal from a Windows
installation and I came up with some strange UI effects.
First, removing Base makes no further data source registreable. Although
Tools- Options - OOBase still has the New button active and user is
invited to fill name and file for the new DS, OO ends up not registering
the new DS with no further notice.
Second, DS existing previous to Base removal are still displayed in all
functions that may require a DS, such as DataPilot, DB fields, labels
and mailing lists wizzard. Again, user is invited to define the DS but
no registering occurs and besides, the old DS are still displayed but no
data can be pull out from them.
This raises a question if this is work-as-designed or should I fill an
issue to have the UI cleared from these non functional behaviour
(perhaps an issue may already exist...)
