Hi, Although I have checked in IssueTracker I have not yet found any declared instance of this behaviour (or lack of it). I am attempting to work with a Base document stored on a webdav server. I am using OpenOffice.org native for Mac OS X on a Leopard system (OS 10.5). There are known limitations of webdav support with the native file dialogs of OOo for Mac, so I'm using the OOo dialogs instead.
Problems: 1) I can not save a newly created ODB file to the webdav server. if I try to do this using the database creation wizard and choose the native HSQLDB as db backend (i.e. the defaults provided by the wizard), I get an I/O error message and the save fails and I end up back at the beginning of the wizard. 2) If I store my ODB file locally, then copy it to my webdav server, I can attempt to open it two ways : (a) by double clicking on it in the OSX Finder, (b) by using the File - Open menu and selecting it from the OOo native dialog. In both cases, the ODB container is opened and appears on screen. However, everything is greyed out, all of the action icons on the left and most of the menu entries are greyed out and inaccessible. If I click on one anyway, I get the following error message : Impossible to establish a connection with the datasource "test" General error: org.hsqldb.lib.FileSystemRuntimeException: java.io.IOexception I can edit and save existing Calc and Writer files stored on the webdav server, so what is preventing the same with the ODB file ? Should I open a bug report ? Alex --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [email protected] For additional commands, e-mail: [email protected]
