okay, please replace "spreadsheet" with "CSV-DBs" :)

Tried just with text/csv - no problem, cannot reproduce A) and C) :-\

depends on what you mean with "hanging around". In general, the quick
starter just keeps the process alive, even when you closed the last
document. As long as the process is alive ('cause either a doc or the QS
is open, or just 'cause OOo did not terminate properly for whatever
reasons), connections can be alive, too.
