Well, you said ext3 - if thats was reiserfs 3.5, I'd have a solution for
you (online-upgrade to 3.6).
But with ext3? Don't know.

So, mostly my experience has been with reiserfs.  I thought I would try ext3,
but with the options I selected, it was dreadfully slow.  I suppose I could
have tried other options, but instead decided that I would reformat to
reiserfs 3.6.  As a result, committing my email directory is taking a lot less
time than it did with ext3.


What is the base installation? RedHat, Suse, Debian, something non-Linux?
Which version?
Maybe your glibc is too old? But you have certainly good svn+apr libraries.

Gentoo.  glibc-2.5.

So, it looks like things are working well.
