deals with the issue

Also you can remove the formatting contained in copied text by using 
Ctrl Shift v
instead of just 
Ctrl v
or use paste-special to paste as plain text.  

Importing plain text from a .txt file is slightly different and doesn't appear 
to have changed so it still works afaik.
