Running LO v 3.6.0.1 (Build ID: 360m1(Build:101)) on 64-bit Ubuntu 12.04, I see what NoOp describes above. However, when I want to get © rather than avoid it, I just perform «Alt Gr + c», which is simpler (this on a standard 105 key Scandinavian keyboard)....
