If it is "open core" from the start, then the message was not
communicated to me clearly. From day 1 (ie. July 2001), SGE has always
been open source, with GRD included as part of the initial open source
contribution from Sun. I can understand that some value-added modules
are not open-source (like ARCo initially), but we never had a time
where core functionalities in the SGE daemons are only available in
the commercial version.

And again, in the testimonial, I put down the "commercial-grade
open-source Grid Engine" point, and no one corrected me saying that it
is open core only and it was uploaded to the site. (While I could not
find my or Dave's testimonial anymore, web cache of the original
testimonial pages are available in a few place.)

I only found out that it is open core when we had the discussions
started by Ron on the steering committee mailing list about the "open
source" vs "open core" difference.
