Additionally, like for hafez that seems to be the case, you can reach the maximum number of i.e. message/day but not reach the throughput per second, that you expect. Here can some "tuning" helps you, to improve the performance of kannel (sorry for not writing anything to this, I don't really have a clue about how to do this the best way...).
