Hello,
I have followed your instructions:

1. Remove port from smsc
2. set modemtype = nokiaphone

kannel.log is attached to this email.
It didn't work.

    Hi,

    Do not overwrite generic modem configuration. It is needed for other 
phones. 

    1) Start with the original modems.conf file under docs/examples. Include 
that to your main kannel.conf.
    2) Change:

    modemtype = nokia

    in your smsc configuration.

    3) Also you shouldn't use port in your SMSc with a modem.
    4) Test and post detailed bearerbox logs from startup, and if it succeeds, 
the attempt to send an sms.

      I have setup Kannel with Nokia 5200 cell phone. Kannel doesn't receive
