Thanks, It is clear that you need a custom modem definition.
1) Copy the nokiaphone modem group from the modems.conf file to your kannel.conf. 2) Change: id = nokia_5200 in that group (in kannel.conf). 3) add variable: init-string = "AT+CNMI=1,2,2,2,1" in the same group. 4) update smsc group. Change: modemtype = nokia_5200 5) Retest and repost logs. No need for more configuration files for now. It is needed for other phones. 1) Start with the original modems.conf file under docs/examples. Include that to your main kannel.conf. 2) Change: modemtype = nokia in your smsc configuration. 3) Also you shouldn't use port in your SMSc with a modem. 4) Test and post detailed bearerbox logs from startup, and if it succeeds, the attempt to send an sms.
