If you were to check the nVidia website http://www.nvidia.com/object/unix.html 
you'd
see listed....

Latest Long Lived Branch version: 375.66
Latest Short Lived Branch version: 381.22

I do not know what nVidia's definition of "Long Lived" v.s. "Short Lived".
