I would be suspicious of the mouse, itself. I have something going wrong with a mouse on an extension lead (and it behaves like that). It used to be fine, but now I have every so slightly pull the mouse plug out of the socket to get it to work. There's nothing obviously wrong with the plug or socket, and cleaning didn't help. So I suspect some of the USB contacts have worn a bit and are no-longer touching. It's one of those things I should replace, but works when fiddled with, and haven't got around to it. -- uname -rsvp Linux 3.10.0-1160.119.1.el7.x86_64 #1 SMP Tue Jun 4 14:43:51 UTC 2024 x86_64 (yes, this is the output from uname for this PC when I posted) Boilerplate: All unexpected mail to my mailbox is automatically deleted.
