I would not count on that message meaning ANYTHING other that the manufacturer does not want to debug 3rd party batteries. This is the manufacturers way of pushing you to their typically more expensive batteries. And I installed a new battery a few years ago, and the first few times it would not charge to 100% (stopped well short) and then for no obvious reason it started charging full. And no telling how the electronics tells the %, if it is doing some sort of charge/current counting then putting in a larger battery may confuse the software until it re-calibrates with the new battery. -- _______________________________________________ users mailing list -- [email protected] To unsubscribe send an email to [email protected] Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/[email protected] Do not reply to spam, report it: https://forge.fedoraproject.org/infra/tickets/issues/new
