I powered off, went into setup to see what it said about the battery
charging. There were no options for the batteries.
On starting the system after leaving setup, I got a message that my
external battery is not Lenovo authorized and may not fully charge!
Now I have to see about returning this battery and finding an official
Lenovo 6-cell battery?
And I installed a new battery a few years ago, and the first few times
it would not charge to 100% (stopped well short) and then for no
obvious reason it started charging full.
There is something low down in the Bios that controls charging.
Afterall, the batteries charge when power is off and no OS can be running.
I still have the Win11 drive that came with the unit.
Is it "safe" to put it in, boot Win11, add the Lenovo app to see if it
can fix the bios for the larger battery (this x260 supports both 3 and 6
cell external batteries).
Then put the Fedora drive back in and the UEFI will not get confused?
