We should ask James Mitchell. He is a new committer to MyFaces (he's a longtime committer on Struts.) He is constantly jabbering on and on about Maven so he could probably answer that ;-)
I'm not sure if a nightly build is warranted but I think we should have jars for the official release builds (starting with the 1.0.9 which has already been released.)
