Thanks, Bob, but I've already been there. Maybe I should have said _obscure_ setting or selection.
The behavior is the same whether the option is selected or not. Styles don't appear to have any effect either.
Also, this is occurring in both OOo 1.1.4 and 1.9.69 using w98se. I haven't tried in Linux, yet.
