What is drag and drop with shift supposed to do in excel? I don't see any difference with or without the shift (in excel 97). In OOo you can get the same effect as drag and drop by clicking anywhere within the selected cells and dragging, as opposed to grabbing the border in excel.

This is a half-lazy answer on my part. Did you see the Calc Shortcut Keys for Spreadsheets in the Help? Open Calc, go to Help > Contents. In the Help page that pops up there, you will find a section called "OpenOffice.org Calc Menus, Toolbars, and Keys" and in that section there is a link to the "Calc Shortcut Keys for Spreadsheets". Hopefully you will find the key combination you need there... otherwise, please accept my apology for wasting your time with this suggestion.
