G. Roderick Singleton,

Please do not respond to my post. I want the thread open to other
respondents.

Other list members,

Responding to the attacks below is doubtless pointless. Can anyone else
help?

I updated to OOo 1.1.4 on the latest Fedora Linux platform. The check
sum matches. I downloaded the latest release for Linux from
OpenOffice.org site and followed the setup guide as closely as possible.
As it insists, I did a multiuser l.l.4 installation, first as root and
then as user. All worked well, but on invoking Help, the usual help
window appears, blank, except for the following precise message in the
right hand pane:

The requested document does not exist in the database !!

If the directories are not default, I didn't change them. They may be
different because the installation was an update.

Yours truly,

Don Robinson
