OmegaT supports OOo file format natively. It is an application for professional translators, it is open source, and free, and is pretty straightforward to use. It is what is commonly called a "translation memory" application.

Once you are done with the translation, you get a document that is formated _exactly_ as the original, except that the language is the target language.

Hey everyone,
Using OOO 2 Beta Writer. When I'm working in a Spanish Document, and I cut and paste another language into the document the spell checker goes crazy. I translate the work into Spanish, and then set the paragraph to Spanish, and it still underlines many words with the red line. I have tried to reset the options for the document, but it still underlines everything and wants to know if the word is Spanish. The only fix I have found is to close OOO 2 and re-open it, and it works normal again, unless I paste any text into the document. Any ideas?
