Do the exist if they are actually used in the template document
itself, or are all of the styles missing.
I see the problem. The Styles I created were stored in the file I was
working in rather than the template. They are present when and only when
that file is active.
Now the question becomes, how does one move Styles from a document to
its foundational template? I see nothing in either the Style/modify or
Template/organize dialogs.

What happens when you save the document as a template? Seems as if
that should work, but I haven't tried it yet.
