OK I retract part of my previous claim about this not being an OS problem, since it appears that there has been some progress with OOo 1.9.100 Windows edition. I don't use Windows for my day to day business, but I do keep one box loaded with W2K (isolated from the LAN & WAN) for customer support issues. I just installed OOo 1.9.100 on the W2K box and successfully printed a DL envelope on a reliable old Epson Stylus Color 760. However, if I run the same test with the same printer on a new SuSE 9.3 box the sender gets printed, but addressee doesn't. It does get printed if I move the addressee text box over to the left of the envelope, which is an unacceptable position for most postal services. This is the same as my past experience of printing envelopes from OOo on printers from a number of different manufacturers, with 2 or 3 different Linux distros. Until the same fix appears in the Linux edition of OOo, I will have to continue with my envelope workaround of setting up templates for my commonly used envelope sizes and printing them out as A4 sheets.
