I think it may have something to do with not selecting to register, and having no internet access. I tried again this weekend, selecting to 'register', and it seemed to work (the quickstart appeared, and the program opened as it should). This machine, even though it has no net connection, is connected to a LAN. I wonder if the wizard is detecting that, and is trying to send something out (the dhcp server does provide a gateway address to the client machine, but at the time, the gateway doesn't work). Anyway, just a thought. I'm fairly positive that the installer does extract all of the cab/exe files like it should on initial installation, but I can check on that the next time I am there. Thanks for all the help. -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/OO-3-rc1-install-setup-freeze-tp19414826p19493579.html Sent from the openoffice - users mailing list archive at Nabble.com. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
