Johnny, are you running 32-bit or a 64-bit Ubuntu Hardy ? Is it possible
that you've downloaded the 64-bit package to a 32-bit setup ? In any event,
at this point you might want to consider uninstalling you present ooo files,
using Synaptic as Gary described above, sending the
«OOO300_m7_native_packed-1_en-US.9354» package to the trash from the
directory on which it is stored, and then once again downloading the
LinuxX86-64_install_en-US_deb.tar.gz package (if, indeed, you are running
64-bit Ubuntu. I haven't been able to find a corresponding package that has
«32-bit» in its name, but perhaps the «LinuxIntel_install_en-US_deb.tar.gz»
package is the one you want if you are running a 32-bit setup) and
installing it according Gary's instructions. You can then, if you so choose,
download and install the «langpack_sv_deb.tar.gz». This combination provides
me with an OOo suite with Swedish as the default language, precisely in
accord with my desires....
