Wrong one. Purge that, the directory ans all ooo as advised previously.
Go to:
http://download.openoffice.org/680/?intcmp=1461
and download:
Linux (deb)                147 MB
the downloaded file will be:
OOo_3.0.0rc2_20080920_LinuxIntel_install_en-US_deb.tar.gz

Unpack and install the .debs from the resulting DEB directory. If you
still are having problems drop me a note off-list and I'll help you.
